Wolf Light

Wolf Light

Luke Harding was on a sightseeing trip in Hawai when he received a very strange phone call. The lady talking on the phone didn’t seem too worried, but then she said something that changed Luke’s mind. Quickly hanging up the phone, Luke sighed. It looked like his sightseeing trip would just have to wait until he found two mission boys.
The client, Mrs. Smith, was at the new monument in Sunshine Hotel. Surprisingly, Mrs. Smith looked ready for the meeting. Observing her for a few more seconds, Luke signaled for Mrs. Smith to sit down. Startled, the lady put on an awkward smile and slowly sat down.
Starting by asking her basic questions, but soon working his way down to more specific ones, Luke learned a lot of information about her. Finally, luke told her that he had finished and would start looking for the children tomorrow. The woman thanked him and scurried away. Looking after her momentarily, Luke soon headed up towards his room
Stepping off on the 5th floor, Luke decided to get a snack before he went to bed. He was right by the vending machine when he started hearing arguing. Strangely, Luke couldn’t pinpoint exactly where it was coming from. Deciding to ignore the muffled sound, Luke quickly got his chips and headed to room 602 to ponder his clues.
Luke though over every clue extremely carefully, trying to see if he had misinterpreted the words. Deciding to get a good nights rest before continuing, Luke lay down in bed and fell asleep.
Luke woke up feeling very refreshed and went to get a cup of coffee before heading downstairs. Walking down the stairs with coffee at hand, Luke paused momentarily at the fifth floor remembering the argument. Quickly writing what he know about it down in his journal, Luke soon continued on his way. The argument had been something about the night but he couldn’t remember exactly what it was about.
He was just sitting down when Luke saw a friendly looking man strolling towards him. The man came up to Luke and introduced himself as a college professor that taught his student’s how to become detectives. Stuttering slightly, the man told Luke how much he admired him. Saying that his name was Tex, the started talking about their methods of solving mysteries.
Tex had an easily recognizable southern accent and wore a cowboy hat. The two of them talking like good friends even though they had just met. Finally Tex said good-bye and Luke said bye also. Not being able to believe that he had actually met someone so friendly on his missions, Luke almost laughed. Smiling all the way, Luke decided to take the elevator up to his room this time.
Luke was just finishing his accent when he remembered that he had promised to look for the kids today. On the way back down, Luke reviewed his notes. Especially interested in the time that he had his first meeting, Luke carefully reviewed his noes again. Having the meeting at 7:08 8/7 the numbers could easily be reversed. The glance that Luke gave at his watch was easily recognized as looking at the time. Realizing how late it was into the day, Luke arrived at the floor and quickly stepped of the elevator.
Seeing Tex just as he got off, Tex said that he was planning to meet someone at 8:07. Luke just laughed and walked out the door. He had decided to look for the children on his bike. Quickly hopping onto it, he started looking around for the missing kids.
The names of the boys were Mathew and Mark. The two of them were only eight so Luke started looking in all of the shops, seeing if he could spot them, or if anyone else had already. Luke had denial after denial as he looked in all of the local shops. It seemed as if the children had just disappeared of the face of Hawaii.
Luke had just finished his search, and it was already past one, so he headed to a fast food place. He asked the person who was taking his order if he had seen the missing boys, but Luke go no for an answer, and gave up on his search momentarily to devour his burger. Just as Luke had gotten on the road, he saw a license plate with the license 320-TEX. Knowing that it was just a coincidence, Luke biked away, but suddenly he realized something. He had a plan.
Just as it was getting to nighttime, Luke Harding headed down to the fifth floor vending machine and punched in T53. It was dull and quiet for a while, but suddenly the silence was disrupted when someone jumped out. Quickly, Luke tied the suspect up and waited. Slowly, two animals came walking out of the vending machine. They were wolves, and Luke did nothing.
Quickly, two boys came out after the wolves and claimed them as theirs. It was Mathew and Mark. Luke pulled of Tex’s mask and revealed Bob Andrews the hotel janitor. Another case solved by Luke Harding.
